Just as the enemy is relentlessly trying to distract and defeat us daily by attacking our families, our finances, our Peace, our Joy, our Faith, and our health…..God is Relentlessly Calling our attention to the TRUTH that His Word is the FINAL Answer. It’s up to us to choose…..ref: Joshua 24:15 – ….choose THIS day who you will believe. Too often we talk more about what the enemy is TRYING to do; when we should be walking in what God Has ALREADY Done.

God is STILL God…..He Will ALWAYS be God….there will NEVER be a board or committee that could EVER pass a vote to de-Throne Him. An Insurance company runs an add that says “fifteen minutes can save you….”. Let me encourage you today to know that “fifteen minutes in the Presence of The Lord can SAVE you….period. Let Him Heal you TODAY. I believe God that things are turning around for you today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen. Hear God:

Health Challenge Day 5 by Wholistically Improve You


Today (4/4/14), I am traveling to San Diego in part to serve the many. God told me loud and clear to serve them. I don’t question him. I just try to be obedient and help inspire many to start and maintain healthy lifestyles. Traveling can cause you to get off your healthy routine. But with a little planning you can stay on course. For my trip, I had some mild detox tea. Yes, my stomach is rumbling a bit. But I prefer it to rumble a little now rather than having a blocked system later. I knew I was going to be in the airport/airline for several hours, so I had a nutrient dense fruit smoothie with a scoop of vanilla moringa oleifera enhanced protein powder. I also made sure I packed my bag with instant oatmeal, dried fruit, nuts, water and fresh fruit. I also decided to pack a lunch consisting of fresh spinach, leftover quinoa and Italian chicken sausage. What does this have to do with healing. Nothing directly. My report today has more to do with prevention and being proactive about your health. No one is going to force you to be healthy. That’s your choice. But I know we are on the right track with this 30 health challenge filled with scripture and my testimonies. My assurance came from a cancer survivor who sat next to me on the plane. Margy was her name and she was 81 years old, yet spry. She was diagnosed with lymphoma. Although I am a cancer researcher I had no idea how expensive cancer treatment was at the individual level. Margy shared with me that the immune boost shots that she had to take after chemotherapy cost $7000 each. And she needed 6 shots. You do the math. She also had to take several medications a day to help give her energy. I shared with her that my lab this Summer will study the protective effects of one of the 92 nutrients in moringa oleifera against prostate cancer. She encouraged me to pursue this avenue because cancer treatment is expensive and preventive approaches would be appreciated. There are a few published reports on the protective effects of moringa and cancer, so I feel pretty excited about our mission to slow the growth or kill prostate cancer cells.

Moringa Oleifera is God’s gift to us. I believe it is mentioned in Exodus 15:24-25. We share the best varietal in the world. Do your research on it. And midst if all be proactive about your health.

Thank You Lord  For Healing Me


I love the Word of God. It is of MORE value than thousands of gold-mines full of solid gold. Concerning our Healing; It’s Vaccine is MORE Potent and Effective than ANY prescription ANY medical association could EVER approve. When we make the decision to Trust the Word of God for our Healing and Health; we must also make the decision to silence EVERY voice and thing that suggest that God’s Promises do not apply to our situation. Jesus Said that Heaven and earth will pass away before one letter of My Word Fails. Hallelujah. Meditate on these seven verses of Scripture as you go through this day and the rest enjoying and anticipating God’s Healing. I celebrate with you in advance. Be prepared in the coming weeks for some aggressive and intense Prayer as we experience the Power of God. I’m excited for you Healing. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Psalm 107:20 – He sent His Word, and Healed them, and Delivered them from their destructions.

Psalm 103:3 – Who Forgiveth ALL thine iniquities; Who Healeth ALL thy diseases…

Isaiah 53:5 – But He (Jesus) was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His Stripes we ARE Healed.

Jeremiah 17:14 – Heal me, O Lord, and I SHALL be Healed; save me, and I SHALL be saved: for You Are my Praise.

Healthy Challenge Day 3 by Wholistically Improve You


I promised I would share my secrets on detoxification and healing. It is very important to detox your body on a regular basis. As a cancer researcher, I often find that I sit for several hours each day. Consequently, my lower extremities would always appear swollen. As I age, the circulation in my lower extremities worsen.  For the longest, I did not like my ankles. I tend to retain a lot of water around my ankles. The problem eventually became so bad that I temporarily lost mobilization in my right foot.

How did I solve the problem?

1. Remove food additives that cause inflammation. For me, I began paying attention to foods I ate and how my body responded. Although I love Chinese food (from New York City that is), the monosodium glutamate does not love me. It causes my ankles to swell instantly. MSG is toxic to the body. I won’t bore you with the details for now. Eventually,  I had to eliminate all seasonings that had MSG or “spices” or so called “natural flavors”.  When I prepare my food, I tend to avoid seasoning blends, unless I am confident that it does not have MSG or similar chemicals that make food taste great.

2. I drink a mild detox tea on a daily basis. I don’t drink the tea for weight loss but for weight management and to remove toxins and excess inflammation from my body.  Yes, we carry about 15 lbs of excess inflammation in our body.  So if you remove the excess inflammation, this can promote weight loss.  I use a premium daily tea that has senna leaf, moringa oleifera and 8 other botanicals.  The premium daily tea is expensive on the front end but it is very effective.  With my special recipe, I know how to make my investment in the tea last for 2-4 months.  I box of 30 tea bags cost $45 plus S&H.  One tea bag is ideal for 2-4 servings depending on how stubborn colon tract is.  The tea is effective but for best results, you need to have a balanced diet, proper liquid nutritional supplementation, and exercise.

3.  Exercise regularly.  I exercise at least 2-3 times per week. When I don’t exercise, my lower extremities lock up on me.  I have to keep moving.  But two years ago, I did not receive the internal signal to exercise.  I worked 12-18 hour days and I came home and watched my favorite TV show.  Finally, after losing mobility in my right foot, I was convicted to start taking better care of me. An advertisement for Aspirations Fitness Institute bootcamp with a former professional football player gave me that jolt to get started on a fitness journey.  When I first started, I could barely run.  Initially, I came in next to last place every time we had a race.  As I stuck with it, I became stronger and was able to rank in the top 5 or better.  Eventually, I became bored of bootcamp, so I tried personal training.  To reduce the cost, I formed a small group to share the expense.  Personal training may be too expensive for most to maintain long term, so consider it only for 2-3 months until you feel confident that you can exercise on your own.  To maintain variety, I engage in yoga, pilates, salsa dancing, zumba, the wave, and P90x.  I may even pick bootcamp back up when the weather warms up.  The key is to keep your exercise regimen varied so that you won’t become bored.

4.  Engage the smaller muscles.  Yoga and Pilates help to engage the lower muscle groups.  And Yoga and Pilates is not only for women; men benefit from Yoga and Pilates as well.

5. Drink plenty of water.  Drink half your body weight in ounces.  I am 140 lbs, so I need to drink 60 ounces a day at the bear minimum. On the days that I get sick of water, I will add some lemon juice and a dash or two of natural stevia powder.  Do not use artificial sweetners (more on that later). Please note, I actually feel a lot better when I drink closer to a gallon of water a day.  To keep track of my water intake, I purchased a 32 ounce BPA free water bottle. I just make sure I fill up my water bottle 3 to 4 times a day.

6.  Stretch Daily.  Actually what is important here is to rotate all  you major joints.  Rotate your ankles, knees, hips, shoulder blades, wrist and neck 30 times clockwise, then 30 times counter clockwise.

To some this may all sound overwhelming.  The key  that you have to start somewhere.  Make a goal to change one thing on the list above for 14 days.  Then after you have mastered that one thing, then select something else you want to change.  If that does not work consider finding a friend or loved one to serve as an accountability partner.  If you do not have any positive motivators, then consider hiring a nutrition and lifestyle coach.  A lifestyle coach will typically cost $30-$60/hour or onetime fee of $30. Some may be willing to give you your money back if you complete your 90-day or 12 month challenge. Often people say they want help but most people just want a quick fix.  Look for a nutrition and lifestyle coach that offers health assessments, SMART goal setting, weekly follow-up calls, regular social media motivation, health tips and recipes, and weekly/monthly weigh-in sessions.  To save money, look for lifestyle coaches who share nutritional products because often they may be willing to waive their fee, if you purchase their product or give them referrals.  Just do your research to make sure that the products are natural, organic and safe.

One of the biggest mistakes we can make in the Presence of The Lord is to try and MAKE ourselves worthy of God’s Provision and Healing. When we try to promise God different things if He Meets our requests; it almost becomes an insult to the Precious Price that Jesus Paid on the cross for ALL that we will EVER face. Jesus Said, I bore ALL sickness and disease on the cross at Calvary. He was and IS constantly Saying…..I have died for ALL things that could EVER challenge your life….your health….your finances….and EVERYTHING that concerns you…..ref: l Peter 2:24. We have a Valid Policy in the Word of God. We are FULLY Covered. We CANNOT be denied.
As we progress into this “Journey of Healing through the Word of God”, let me encourage you make the commitment each day to change something you’re currently doing that you know to be unhealthy; and make the choice that the Life God has Given you is worth doing whatever it takes to enjoy it to the fullest. When I changed some things about my diet, cancer had NOTHING to survive off of…..so it had to DIE. For the past 90 days I have reached out to many to help them with their health journey. Some people started their journey soon after the New Year.  We have had some success in helping people to lose weight and or inches.  However, many had trouble getting started or staying their course.  Hopefully, with our Healing Challenge series for the month of April, we can help others get back on track.

It is not easy to get started or to remain on course with a health journey.  This is partially due to the toxins in our body that cause us to crave foods that are not healthy for us. I am not immune to this either. I use to crave potato chips, french fries, McDonald’s fries, poor quality chocolate. How did I over come my bad snack choices?

Well, I started on a regimen. In collaboration with Eugene (who will provide biblical scripture about healing), I will begin to share all my secrets on how I detox my body. I will share information about natural botanicals, natural detox/appetite suppressing teas, hydration, foods with healing and detox properties, nutrient dense smoothies. Of course these suggestions work best in combination with adequate sleep 7-8 hours of sleep daily and exercise. I believe in diversifying your exercise program to minimize boredom, so I will promote a variety of exercise programs you can get involved with. If you are looking for a simple solution, I probably don’t have that kind of quick fix for you. So I apologize in advance. This journey is for those who are serious about improving their health in a holistic way.

The enemy’s most effective tool in defeating or deceiving us is FEAR. Think about this; in the Bible, Job said; the thing that FEARED the MOST has happened to me…..and the thing that I was afraid of has come upon me -Job 3:25. Don’t get stuck there….I have GREAT news for you: God has NOT Given us the Spirit of FEAR…He has Given us the Spirit of Power, and of Love, and of a SOUND Mind…..ll Timothy 1:7. Even more…The Weapons of our warfare are NOT carnal…..our Resources become Mighty through God….with the Ability to pull DOWN strongholds, and cast down ALL imaginations and EVERYTHING that exalts itself against the Knowledge of God….ll Corinthians 10:4,5.
We must ALSO become pro-active concerning our health. Proper diet. eating the right foods, exercise, and educating ourselves on better health…ref: l Corinthians 6:19 – Do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit of God. When we make healthy choices, we live better and longer lives. Lets Begin doing a better job with Respecting God by the way we treat our bodies and our health.

Father, we thank You for ALL that You have done in our lives. We heed Your Word to make better choices concerning our health so that we may walk in the Provisions You made at Calvary. I pray that we become more pro-active and even encouraged concerning our health and wellness. Your Word is True, and we know that we can DO ALL things through Christ Jesus, Who is our Strength. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
